Structures of proteins involved in the function of the reaction center of Photosystem II (RCII). Prof. Adir's group has determined the three-dimensional structure KDO8P synthase from bacteria to 2.4? (in collaboration with Prof. T. Bassov, Dept. of Chemistry, Technion). This protein is necessary for the formation of a unique sugar found only in Gram negative type bacteria.
