Chairman of the Board, Israel Corporation
Amir Elstein was elected Chairman of the Board of Israel Corporation in July 2010. Prior to his recent appointment, he acted as Vice Chairman of IC. In addition, he is currently a director of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, was Executive Vice President of Teva from 2004 to 2008 and a director from 1995 to 2004. Prior thereto, he was an executive for 23 years at Intel Corporation, including General Manager of Intel Electronics Ltd., an Israeli subsidiary of Intel. He was appointed Chairman of the Board of Tower Semiconductor Ltd. in 2009.
Mr. Elstein also serves as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Jerusalem College of Engineering and a member of the board of several academic, scientific, educational, social and cultural institutions. Mr. Elstein holds a B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, a M.Sc. in Solid State Physics from the Department of Applied Physics of the Hebrew University, and a diploma in Senior Business Management from the Hebrew University.
